This Private Residence, located within Spruce Peak Resort in Vermont, sits on a steep, narrow site with amazing views to Mt. Mansfield. The site proved challenging, due to the steep slope and relatively long, narrow lot. The 6,000-SF residence features a large great room with traditional Vermont timber trusses and a 20-foot ceiling, oversized kitchen, five bedrooms with a loft that overlooks the living area, a family room with wet bar, custom ski and mud room, large elevated deck with built-in BBQ, and its own ski tuning room. The garage is a single-car garage, but a separate carport was designed adjacent to it, in addition to a separated carport with a high, living roof to accommodate the family’s oversized “hockey van.” The home also includes a large stainless steel hot tub with stone veneer that appears to “erode” away from its surface.
