The Lodge at Sunspot is a mountaintop lodge, located at 10,700 feet, with breathtaking vistas of the Continental Divide and the Rocky Mountains. Sunspot features a 140-seat full-service restaurant for fine dining, as well as “The Provisioner,” a 226-seat food marketplace. An additional 270 people are accommodated at the exterior barbecue deck.
Like the architecture, the interior design for The Lodge at Sunspot is reminiscent of early ski lodges, with a warm and inviting interior ambience which evokes fond memories of skiing’s “good old days” of roaring hearths and warm camaraderie. The log trusses from the exterior are continued throughout the interior of the main spaces and are accented by smooth timber beams and an oversized stone fireplace with a crafted metal surround. The geometry of the carpet patterns recalls the natural elements found on this special site, such as flowers and snowflakes.
