The River Edge landscape references local, rural character and agricultural roots of the Roaring Fork Valley. The project's aim was to have strong historic identity back to the days of 'old Colorado' when compact neighborhoods formed with a strong sense of community based on the land and surrounding landscape.

While River Edge remains progressive in planning and design, the landscape aesthetic is simple, informal, and places emphasis in the use of materials local and adaptable to the climate and environment of the area.
