Ron was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Architecture with a focus on regional and community planning. During his fourth year at KSU, Ron completed a study abroad program in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy and traveled extensively throughout Europe.
Upon graduation, Ron received an Architectural Intern career opportunity in Vail, Colorado and moved there in the fall of 1993. Specializing in resort planning and commercial, multi-family architecture, Ron was fortunate to work on many significant projects throughout Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, California and Nevada. A few of these projects include the Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail, Colorado, the Chateau Lodge and Chateau Terrace in Beaver Creek, Colorado, Market Square/Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek, Colorado, See Forever Village in The Mountain Village, Telluride, Colorado and many others. During this time, Ron has also worked on numerous private residences in many locations throughout the mountain West.
Ron joined Zehren & Associates in December of 2015 as a Senior Architect. In this position, he has been fortunate to work on several projects including Chongli Four Season Destination Resort in central China and The Blake at Taos Ski Valley in Taos, New Mexico. Ron is a Licensed Architect in the State of Colorado. In his free time, Ron enjoys travel, skiing, road/mountain biking, camping, hiking and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
