Laura’s interest in architecture and design originated from her parents letting her work on small remodel projects around their family home in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Laura has a competitive edge which she attributes to growing up with a younger and older brother. Wanting to use that ambitious energy and artistic interests, she chose to pursue a degree in architecture. Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota, and enjoyed studying architecture so much that she decided to get her Master's Degree from the University of Colorado. Laura's design passion is micro-residential housing and minimalist design, and she eventually wants to live in a tiny house that she designed. Laura enjoys living in the mountains where she takes advantage of the many outdoor activities available to her. Her interests include fishing, backpacking, snowboarding and anything having to do with being on the water.
