What good is a house, if you haven't got a decent planet to put it on?

Riverfront Lodge - LEED Registered
Avon, Colorado
The Riverfront Lodge is a 75-unit, whole ownership lodge located on the banks of the Eagle River and connected to Beaver Creek Ski Resort via a high-speed gondola. Riverfront Village, a planned unit development, includes eight buildings; the Westin Hotel, two timeshare buildings, Riverfront Lodge, and three townhouse buildings. The architectural theme aimed to represent the interface between the Town of Avon and Beaver Creek Ski Resort, with "mountain modern" detailing and the incorporation of sustainable design. While Riverfront Lodge is not yet built the building is currently LEED registered and is planned to continue the sustainable vision set forth for all of Riverfront Village and established by the Westin Hotel, which has already achieved LEED Silver certification.
Zehren and Associates was challenged to design Riverfront Lodge to be environmentally sensitive. The approach was distinguished with the use of sustainable materials, building form and mass and human health and comfort.
