Vail Mountain Lodge Renovation

The Vail Mountain Lodge (currently known as Gravity Haus) is located in the heart of Vail Village, nestled along Gore Creek halfway between the VistaBahn and Gold Peak lift access points. The project was a complete renovation of one of Vail’s original structures constructed in 1963.

The five-star boutique hotel project included renovations and additions to the spa, restaurant, 20 new hotel rooms, and 7 new luxury fractionally-owned condominium units, 3 new individually-owned condominium units, and 5 new employee housing units, all totaling approximately 90,000 square feet.

The design embodies traditional materials and forms that are reminiscent of classic European ski villages as seen in the articulation of the stone base, timber supports, and rusticated wood siding.  Since the original renovation project Zehren has been contacted again to design additional minor and major upgrades to the hotel rooms to condominiums.
