The Mountain Tract Golf Clubhouse is nestled within the Blackhorse enclave at Cordillera, which was also designed by Zehren and Associates. Both projects are the centerpieces for The Summit Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus. The location of the clubhouse at the summit offers spectacular views of Castle Peak and the rest of Cordillera below. The architectural design follows The Summit Design Guidelines, with heavy, sheltering materials and low roof forms.
The 10,800-SF building is situated at the 18th hole of the golf course, and boasts an entry lobby that looks directly at Castle Peak. The main level includes a vaulted lobby, a 30-seat restaurant with an outdoor deck that faces a wildlife corridor and the 18th hole, a bar, kitchen, pro shop, member locker rooms, and administrative space. The lower level includes employee locker rooms, bag storage, and the cart barn.
The Mountain Tract Golf Clubhouse and its related facilities—including the “Halfway” House, comfort stations, and irrigation pumphouse—were completed in Spring of 2002.
