The Golf Club is a private eighteen-hole golf course located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Zehren & Associates was responsible for the design and construction documentation of the clubhouse facility. The clubhouse is approximately 17,000 square feet and includes a pro shop, mens’ and womens’ locker rooms, a grill, a kitchen, and a basement level golf cart storage area. It was designed to look like a building which was over 100 years old having been added and subtracted to over the years, but was not a slave to incorporating new technologies into the design.
The exterior material is a modified cement adobe brick veneer was chosen with lasting value and ease of maintenance in mind, as budget constrains were top priority. The list of exterior materials includes concrete masonry, brick masonry, stucco, adobe brick, grande clay tile roofing with old, reclaimed large timber wood members re-used as trusses and beams.
